The
journey of Engineering Dreams, Inspiring Souls continues naturally from
my earlier works—Engineering Heart Beats and Value-Based Leadership.
Those books laid the foundation; this one seeks to carry the spirit forward
into a broader, more reflective dialogue.
Every
leader begins as a dreamer. He envisions a dream, works to realise it, faces
challenges, and endures struggles along the way. Engineering, at its core, is
the practical application of science. It refers to the process of creating,
designing, and building. It is the manifestation of creativity. In this sense,
these three books form a trilogy, bound by a common anthology of values and
vision.
This
is not just a book. It is a dialogue with readers. It is a circle of
inspiration. It is an invitation to engineer your own dream.
I,
too, have dreamed. Some parts of that dream have already taken shape; others
are still unfolding. I have shared fragments of this journey in my earlier
works. And I trust that one day, the dream will transcend—rising beyond my own
life and efforts, becoming part of something larger, something shared.
It speaks of the beauty of walking
together as walking alone. It begins with dreams and ends with joy—the joy of
recognition.
The
Title:
Dual
imagery: “Engineering” conveys precision, design, and purposeful creation,
while “Dreams” evokes imagination and aspiration. Together, they harmonize
science and vision.
Emotional
resonance: “Inspiring Souls” shifts the focus from technical achievement to
human upliftment, reminding us that true progress touches lives.
Continuity:
The phrase first appeared as the subtitle of Value-Based Leadership; now
it steps forward as the central theme, strengthening the thread across my
works.
The
Shape of the Book:
The
book unfolds as a dialogue—poetic, philosophical, and reflective. It aims to
plant seeds of aspiration in the minds of young dreamers, guiding them toward
the world’s finest institutes of science, technology, and management. It seeks
to inspire rather than instruct, to awaken rather than direct.
Two
principles guided me while writing:
1.
The Iceberg Theory – Path is shown, but the depths remain to be explored.
Beneath the surface lies meaning, waiting for discovery.
2.
Space for Imagination – At times, you will find minute details, facts, and
figures. At other times, space is left for imagination, trusting in your
creativity and ability to think beyond what is written.
Parables,
too, have guided me. They are not mere stories; they are mirrors—showing how
patience, struggle, and awareness shape the path of realisation. This book is
built upon such parables, reflections, and lived experiences.
Tributes
and Inspirations:
This
work pays tribute to dreamers, visionaries, leaders, and thinkers—among them
Nobel laureates, Oscar winners, and Olympic champions—who devoted their lives
to realising their dreams. Their legacy and devotion are celebrated here,
offering glimpses into lives that shaped civilisation and inspired generations.
Beyond
Individuals:
The
book also reflects on the evolution of technology, the trends shaping our
times, and the profound applications of science and engineering for the
betterment of human life. It explores how technology, when guided by values,
becomes a force for collective progress.
A
Chorus of Ideas:
Alongside
this book, I have written many blogs on social media. Together, they form a
chorus of ideas, reflections, and inspirations—carrying forward the mission of
awakening minds and nurturing values. This is a journey where engineering meets
philosophy, where science meets poetry, and where dreams are nurtured into
destinies.
Here,
I have said: Every dream comes true. I have spoken of different kinds of
dreams. I have written about great people, their dreams, and their
achievements. I have blended fact and fiction, prose and poetry.
My
conviction is simple: Words that originate from the soul touch the soul. When
words touch the soul, they inspire. When inspiration awakens, it helps to
engineer a dream. When the engineered dream is nurtured with care, and one
walks the path with hard work, the soul is inspired more. Thus, it becomes a
circle—soul inspires dream, dream inspires soul.
Many chapters have already appeared on digital platforms,
scattered like pearls. If you have mastered the art of weaving pearls into a
necklace, perhaps you don’t need to read this book.
But if you choose to read it, then I would say:
Don’t read it.
Live it. Walk with
it. Dream with it. And let it become part of your unfolding journey.
