Farewell Song by Great 2024

Farewell Song by Great 2024 !

On its journey to destiny, Great 2024 sings a farewell song for all of us - Wish Me Luck As You Wave Me Goodbye !

The iconic song, sung by Vera Lynn in her luminous voice for Grecie Field (Sally), a lovely woman with talent, beauty, courage and class, in Shipyard Sally (1939), was pictured as she travelled to London by train to plead the case of Shipyard workers who became unemployed due to closure of the shipyard. This song gained immense popularity and became a symbol of hope and resilience. It’s soothing music continues to resonate across the world today.

In Raj Kapoor’s classic movie Mera Nam Joker (1970), Simi Garewal (Teacher), a graceful and versatile Indian actress, sings this heartwarming farewell song for her dear student, Raju, while she leaves for summer vacation by train. This poignant moment adds a layer of emotion to the film, showcasing the depth of their bond.

As 2024 bids adieu, it Says:

‘Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye

Cheerio, here I go, on my way

Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye

Not a tear, but a cheer, make it gay

Give me a smile I can keep all the while

In my heart while I’m away …’

Life is a tapestry woven with the moments of joy and sorrow. Over the time, I have honed the art of preserving the joyful moments at the bottom of my heart; cherishing them for strength and optimism. Year 2024 brought me countless joyful moments.

As I bid farewell to 2024, I am filled with gratitude for a great year that brought so much joy and growth into my life.

As I welcome 2025, I am filled with excitement and anticipation for another great year, brimming with happiness, growth, and fulfilment.

Goodbye 2024!

Welcome 2025!!
