Let Not The Eyes Become Old!

Yesterday, I was reading and listening to the audiobook ’The Old Man and the Sea’ by Nobel Laureate, Ernest Hemingway. It tells the story of an old fisherman who, despite his age retains a lively spirit and an undaunted outlook, demonstrating human dignity. I came across a heart-touching line : ‘Everything about him was old except his eyes…’. I paused there because the line was so powerful and resonated deeply with me. For the entire day, it kept replaying in my mind. At the end of day, when I pray and, commit myself : ‘Let not the eyes become old’, I get filled with immense joy!

Are they just part of bodies?

Are they required to see dreams, and to hold vision clear ?

If they are not old, how then are they?

Are they young, vibrant, ever wise?

See with wonder, and gaze with cheer 

Let innocence remain ever near!

Through every joy, each story told 

Let not the eyes become old!

Eyes of students and eyes of teachers 

Eyes of friends and eyes of colleagues

The Cat!

The Cat!

बाळू दहावीत गेला. इंग्रजीचा अडथळा दूर झाल्यास, दहावी पास होण्यात बाळूला अडचण येणार नाही असे त्याच्या वडिलांना वाटत होते. बाळूची इंग्रजीची शिकवणी लावायचा त्यांनी निर्णय घेतला व ते त्याला साटम सरांकडे घेवून गेले.

साटम सर इंग्रजीची शिकवणी घ्यायचे. तीन दिवसात फाड फाड इंग्लिश, फर्डा वक्ता, व्यक्तिमत्व विकासाच्या तीन पायऱ्या अशी काही पुस्तके त्यांनी लिहली होती.

साटम सरांनी बाळूला काही जुजबी प्रश्न विचारले. त्याची त्याने समाधानकारक उत्तरे दिली. 

तुला इंग्रजीत काही वाक्ये बनविता येतात का हे विचारल्यावर, This is boy. That is girl. …अशी काही वाक्ये त्याने म्हणून दाखविली. त्याला  Cat बद्दल काय माहिती आहे असे विचारले असता, Cat म्हणजे मांजर असे सांगून तो एक पाळीव प्राणी आहे असे त्याने सांगितले. इंग्रजी शिकतांना Cat या शब्दाला फार महत्व आहे. इंग्रजीतील तो तिसरा महत्त्वाचा शब्द आहे. A म्हणजे Apple, B म्हणजे Bat आणि  C म्हणजे Cat हे जेंव्हा त्याने सांगितले तेंव्हा, त्याचे वडील म्हणतात त्याप्रमाणे तो कच्चा नाही हे साटम सरांच्या लक्षात आले.

त्या नंतर Tense विषयी त्याला काय माहिती आहे हे सरांनी जाणून घेतले. Present, Past व Future असे असे तीन Tense असून त्यातील Present Tense मला आवडतो कारण त्यात वाक्ये लिहिणे सोपे असते हे त्याने सांगितले. आणखी थोडे इकडाचे तिकडचे बोलणे झाल्यावर त्या दिवसाचा क्लास संपला.

दुसऱ्या दिवशी शिकवणीत साटम सरांनी  बाळूला सांगितले, ‘बाळू, इंग्रजीच्या परीक्षेत निबंधाला फार महत्व आहे. त्याकरिता २० मार्क असल्याने, तो तू चांगल्या प्रकारे लिहायचा. बाकी ग्रामर, टेन्स वगैरे तुला बऱ्या पैकी येते. त्याचा सराव सुरू ठेव.

आता मी तुला निबंध लेखन कसे करायचे ते प्रत्यक्षपणे शिकवतो. मागील परीक्षेत The Cat असा निबंध लिहायचा होता, तो मी तुला शिकवतो.

The Cat !Cat is domestic animal. It has four legs and two eyes. Cat drinks milk .There are different types of cats . Some cats live in jungle. Cat sleeps more. There are different colours of cats. I don’t like black colour. I don’t cross road after cat crosses it.

….

….

Cat is very useful animal. No rat when cat.’

हा निबंध १० वेळेस लिहून काढ . त्याचे पाठांतर होईपर्यंत वाचन कर. आता घरी जा. दोन दिवसांनी परत ये.’

दोन दिवसांनी बाळू आल्यावर , सरांनी त्याचे पाठांतर घेतले, त्याने लिहलेला निबंध तपासला व त्यात शुद्ध लेखनाच्या दुरुस्त्या सुचविल्या .

‘बाळू , आता तू निबंध लिहण्यात पारंगत झाला आहेस. असाच निबंध, न घाबरता, आत्मविश्वास पूर्वक परीक्षेत लिहायचा. शिकवणी संपली. उद्या वडिलांना भेटायला सांग.’

शिकवणी संपली हे ऐकून बाळूला आश्चर्याचा धक्का बसला. सरांनी आपल्याला फार काही शिकविले नाही तेंव्हा, परीक्षेत आपले कसे होणार असा विचार मनात आल्यावर त्याला थोडी भितीही वाटली.

बाळूने चाचरत विचारले, ‘पण सर, The Cat ऐवजी परीक्षेत दुसरा निबंध आला तर…?’

‘उदाहरणार्थ?’, सरांनी विचारले 

‘My Father ‘, बाळू 

‘तो असा लिहायचा…

My Father 

My father’s name is Sadashiv. He is farmer. He has a cat. Cat is domestic animal. It has four legs and two eyes…

….

….

My father is very good person.  I love him.’

हे ऐकल्यावर बाळूचा सरांप्रतीचा आदर द्विगुणित झाला. त्याच्या डोळ्यात चमक दिसायला लागली. आता आपण कोणत्याही विषयावर निबंध लिहू शकतो हा आत्मविश्वास त्याच्या मधे निर्माण झाला आहे हे सरांच्या लक्षात आले. तरीही खात्री करून घ्यावी म्हणून सरांनी त्याची परीक्षा घेण्याचे ठरविले.

‘बाळू, My Neighbour हा निबंध कसा लिहशील?’

‘Ramesh is my neighbour. He has a cat. Cat is a domestic animmal….’

‘Very good !’मधेच थांबवत सर बोलले. ‘आणि समजा My Country हा निबंध लिहायचा असेल तर …’

सरांचे वाक्य पूर्ण व्ह्यायच्या आत बाळूने सुरवात केली…

‘India is my country. There are different plants and animals in my country. I like animals. Cat is my favourite animal. Cat is a domestic animal. it has…..’

सरांनी बाळूच्या पाठीवर थाप मारून त्याला शाबासकी दिली तेंव्हा, त्याची छाती फुगून पुढे आली .

साटम सरांच्या मार्गदर्शनामुळे व Cat चा योग्य पद्धतीने उपयोग केल्याने, बाळू फक्त इंग्रजीच नाही तर सर्वच विषयात चांगल्या मार्कांनी पास झाला. बाळूने मनातल्या मनात Cat चे आभार मानले.

बाळू आता बाळासाहेब झाला आहे. बाळासाहेब एका प्रमूख राजकीय पक्षाचे नेते म्हणून सभा संमेलनांमध्ये भाषण करतात तेंव्हा, तेथेही त्यांना Cat चा उपयोग होतो. निवडणुकीच्या वेळी प्रचार सभांमधून त्यांना मागणी असते. पक्षाच्या स्टार प्रचारकांच्या यादीत त्यांचे नाव असते. बाळासाहेब पक्षाचे प्रवक्ते आहेत. मेन स्ट्रीम मीडिया व लाखोने व्ह्यूअर असलेल्या, यू ट्यूब चैनल वरील पैनल डिस्कसन मधे ते हिरिरीने भाग घेतात तेंव्हाही त्यांच्या सोबत  Cat असतेच!

I believe, many of us would like to have a ‘Cat’ with us!

I am sure you will have fun searching the cats with the people, including professors, entrepreneurs, statesmen, journalists, forget the students and politicians, coming in class rooms, business meet, seminars, talk shows and for public meetings and speeches . Some of them bring their Cat, hiding in power point presentation in their laptop or iphone now a days!

That is the beauty of life! Enjoy it!

सरदार पटेल कॉलेज ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग, अंधेरी, मुंबई या संस्थेच्या माजी विद्यार्थी संघटनेकडून दर वर्षी जानेवारी महिन्याच्या पहिल्या शनिवार/रविवारी मेळावा आयोजित करण्यात येतो. संस्थेत शिकणाऱ्या गुणवंत विद्यार्थ्यांचा, शिकून ज्यांना २५ वर्षे पूर्ण झालीत अशा माजी विद्यार्थ्यांचा सत्कार तसेच आपआपल्या क्षेत्रातील विशेष नैपुण्याबद्दल जीवन गौरव पुरस्कार दिले जातात व भविष्यात राबवित येणाऱ्या प्रकल्पांविषयी संकल्पना मांडण्यात येतात.

या वर्षीच्या ४ जानेवारीच्या कार्यक्रमाला ईच्छा असूनही मी उपस्थित राहू शकलो नाही. ५ जानेवारीला प्रा. डॉ. उमेश उमाळे यांच्याशी बोलणे झाले तेंव्हा कार्यक्रमात माझी आठवण झाली हे त्यांच्याकडून ऐकून आनंद झाला.

कमनिमित्त, काल मुंबईला गेलो होतो; तेंव्हा सुरेश महाजन यांनी गोवा येथील Mechanical-1982 गेट टुगेदर च्या आठवणी शेयर केल्या. त्यांच्या कडे असलेल्या कॉलेज मॅगेझिन मधील एक फोटो बघून आठवणींची एक दृश्य मालिका माझ्या समोरून सरकू लागली. मी त्या फोटोचा फोटो काढला! या संबंधी लिहिण्याची उर्मी दाटून आली.

*वर्ष १९८२!*

विद्यार्थीप्रिय तरुण व उत्साही, प्रा.नातू, प्रा.राऊळ यांच्या सोबत विद्यार्थी प्रतिनिधींच्या झालेल्या बैठकीत या वर्षी गॅदरिंग अगदी जोरात व  नाविन्यपूर्ण पद्धतीने साजरे करायचे असे सर्वानुमते ठरले. त्यानुसार विविध समित्यांचे गठण झाले व सर्वजण उत्साहाने कामास लागले. आम्ही काही मित्रांनी IIT पवई चा Mood Indigo महोत्सव बघितला होता. आपल्या कॉलेजच्या शॉर्ट फॉर्म नावा मधे कलात्मक रित्या A व त्यापुढे सध्याचे वर्ष 82 लिहून बनणारे  ‘SPACE 82’ असे नाव महोत्सवाला द्यायचे आम्ही ठरविले.

प्रा. सौ. गोगटे मॅडम यांचे अध्यक्षतेखाली फिश पाँड समिती गठीत करण्यात आली. फिश पाँड करिता नॉमिनल फी ठेवावी, प्रत्येक फिशपॉंड ला नंबर द्यावा, तीन उत्कृष्ट फिशपॉंडना बक्षिस देण्यात यावे, वैक्तिक व्यंगावर फिश पाँड असू नये ,मॅडम यांची सही असलेलेच सेलेक्टेड फिशपॉंड वाचण्यात यावे असे सर्वानुमते ठरले.

फिश पाँड हा सगळ्यांचा आवडीचा कार्यक्रम !

SPCE चा ओपन ऑडिटोरियम खच्चून भरला होता. मी फिश पाँड वाचायला सुरवात केली. नाव उच्चारल्यावर प्रत्येक जण स्टेज वर यायचा, मी त्यांना सन्मानपूर्वक उभे राहण्यास जागा करून द्यायचो, त्यांच्याकडे मिश्किल नजरेने बघून, माझ्या अंदाजानुसार ज्यांनी फिश पॉंड लिहला असावा त्या ग्रुपकडेही बघायचो. त्यानंतर विशिष्ट शब्दावर जोर देवून, आवश्यकता असेल तर पॉज़ घेऊन, यमक असल्यास गेयतेने फिशपॉंड वाचन सुरू करायचो. सिव्हिल ब्रँचच्या विद्यार्थ्यांवर फिश पाँड असायचा तेंव्हा मी सिव्हिल या शब्दाचा ‘शिऽविल’  असा उच्चार करायचो, तेंव्हा एकच जल्लोष व्हायचा. अनेक फिश पाँड्सना वन्स मोर मिळायचे.

कार्यकर्माच्या खूप आधी, सर्व फिश पाँड्स, मी एव्हड्या काळजी पूर्वक व पुन्हा पुन्हा वाचले होते कि, ते जवळ जवळ पाठ झाले होते. आमच्या कोअर ग्रुप मेंबर्स समोर फिश पाँड रिडिंगची मी रिहर्सल केली होती.

असाच माझ्यासह सर्व मित्रांच्या आजही स्मरणात राहिलेला हा एक फिश पाँड!

आमच्या एका मैत्रिणीचे F E चे काही विषय राहिले होते व तिला ATKT म्हणून S E मधे प्रवेश मिळाला होता.

*’गेली तर T E पर्यंत गाडी…*

*नाही तर हातात बाबा गाडी…’*

असा फिश पाँड तिला मिळाला. तो तिने अगदी खिलाडू वृत्तीने स्वीकारला.

बऱ्याच दिवसांनी, मित्र मैत्रिणींच्या सहज गप्पांमधे, ‘खरे सांगशिल. सदर फिशपॉंड, तू , गोगटे मॅडम यांना न दाखवताच वाचला होतास ना?’ असे तिने विचारले, तेंव्हा मॅडम यांची सही असलेली फिश पाँड स्लिप मी तिला दाखविली होती.

पुढे, तिची T E पर्यंतच नाही, तर सातासमुद्रापार गाडी गेली. ती अमेरिकेची नागरिक असून तेथे सुखेनैवपणे आनंदी जीवन जगत असावी!.

नेहमी प्रमाणे आपला फीडबैक द्यावा म्हणजे त्याप्रमाणे बदल करता येतील.

Nine point problem is a brainteaser. I used to share this fun problem with the participants in the workshop on creativity to stimulate creative thinking and enhance problem-solving skill.

It encourages the participants to think outside the box and break away from conventional patterns of thinking. It demonstrates that sometimes the solutions to the problem requires stepping beyond perceived boundaries and exploring new perspectives.

It was a rewarding and fulfilling experience, watching the participants thriving solve the problem. I really enjoyed it.

Problem : There are nine dots shown as shown above. Join these nine dots by drawing just four lines, without lifting your pen or retracing any line.

Later,  based on this, I developed ‘Seven Lines Problem’ and used it in my sessions on creativity and problem solving.

Creativity!

Creativity!

If health, happiness and longevity is your goal, then creativity will help you a lot in achieving that goal. Many writers across the world, from Pradip Khandwalla to Osho Rajneesh have written amazing books on creativity. Tonnes of literature is available on creativity on internet. Now artificial intelligence tools are also available to improve your creativity. If you are painter, writer, photographer, or any artist, using AI tools, you can enhance your creativity.

Creativity does seem like a divine gift, a spark that sets imagination alight. Genetic and environment together play a significant role in shaping a person‘s creative potential. Genetics provides a foundation of certain traits and abilities while the environment nurtures and develops them.

Creativity not only enhances mental well-being, but also contributes to overall health. Creative person naturally radiants positive energy. Tapping into creative potential brings immense joy and fulfilment . It’s a beautiful journey of self expression and problem solving. creativity allows you to approach challenges with a fresh perspective, making it easier to find innovative solutions.

My father, who was a social worker and politician, used to say that,”When people come to us with their problems, we should be thankful to them for giving us this opportunity, as we learn many more things through the process of solving their problems”.

Children have a wonderful way of seeing the world around them with fresh eyes and boundless imagination. Their curiosity, playfulness and openness teach us a lot about creativity and joy of discovery.

Sometimes, my grand daughter, little Madhura accompanies me in super shop and vegetable market. I encourage her to assist me in different tasks . Observing her responses is a wonderful way to nurture her curiosity and creativity. It is amazing to see how children can bring a fresh perspective and joy to even simplest of activities.

Many automobile companies do seek input from children for designing car models. For instance, Toyota has a programme called the ‘Toyota Dream Car Art Contest’, where children from around the world submit their imaginative car designs. These entries often inspire new ideas and concepts for future car models. similarly, BMW has a ‘Kids Collection’ that encourages children to explore their creativity to play and design.

In my session on ‘Creativity’ in ‘Entrepreneurship Development Program’, I used to give various tasks to the participants. In one of my sessions, more than 200 ideas of designing tooth brush were generated…automatic or digital brush for efficient brushing, computerised brush displaying health condition of teeth, brush for total oral hygiene solution, combo brush ejecting required amount of paste for brushing, musical brush singinging songs as per your mood, organic brush, brushes made from different materials like aloe vera, banana, potato, brushes for different occasions and age groups, economical brush for retired persons are some of the creative ideas! 

I always encouraged my students to do ‘out of box thinking’ and present creative ideas, even if they seemed foolish! I used to tell them that the most foolish idea of today may transform into groundbreaking project tomorrow. I have had my fair share of silly daydreams over the years!

Creativity is a state of mind, and it proves helpful for new creations. Curious observation of nature and engaging in prayer significantly enhance creativity. Nature, full of creativity, helps us notice intricate details, patterns, and connections that inspire new ideas, whereas prayer helps us calm the mind and open up space for creative thoughts to flow more freely.

Doing the things in a different way, leaving ‘comfort zone’, doing at least one or two things which you do not like to do, every day; challenging yourself once a week to bigger task may prove to be a first step on the path of creativity. Scarcity is a boon for creativity. Scarcity often forces us to think out of box and find innovative solutions.

I take Madhura to malls, public places, playground, scenic places, and create reels with her on different occasions. Creating reels and selecting the perfect music for them is a wonderful way to express creativity. It is like crafting a mini story that blend visuals and sound to evoke emotions and tell a compelling narrative. The process of editing ,matching the rhythm of the music with the photos or videos and adding creative touches is really fulfilling. It is modern form of art that allows me to share my unique perspective with the world.

Writing is one of the ways to channel creativity. I enjoy writing the blog. Dictation tools on my Lenovo laptop and iPhone allow me to capture my ideas quickly and refine them with the help of suggested improvements. The process of finding or choosing just the right word and expressing my thoughts clearly is deeply satisfying. 

I wish to spread the joy by sharing my thoughts with warm and emphatic people like you! That’s why I write this blog.

महेन्द्राज कॉर्नर या ब्लॉग वरील, ‘मी ब्लॉग का लिहतो ?’ या माझ्या ब्लॉगवर, अनेकांनी तो आवडल्याच्या प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त केल्या. माझे मित्र प्रा. डॉ. राजेश पाध्ये यांनी गूगलच्या साहाय्याने त्याचे मराठी भाषांतर करून पाठविले व त्यात योग्य ते बदल करून ते मराठी वाचकांना उपलब्ध करून द्यावे अशी सूचना केली; त्यानुसार ही पोस्ट आपणासोबत शेयर करीत आहे.

मी ब्लॉग का लिहतो ?

जर आरोग्य, आनंद आणि दीर्घायुष्य हे तुमचे ध्येय असेल तर सर्जनशीलता तुम्हाला ते ध्येय साध्य करण्यासाठी खूप मदत करेल. प्रदीप खांडवाला ते ओशो रजनीश यांच्यापर्यंत जगभरातील अनेक लेखकांनी सर्जनशीलतेवर पुस्तके लिहिली आहेत. इंटरनेटवर सर्जनशीलतेवर भरपूर साहित्य उपलब्ध आहे. आता तुमची सर्जनशीलता समृद्ध करण्या करिता कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (AI) साधने देखील उपलब्ध आहेत. जर तुम्ही चित्रकार, लेखक, छायाचित्रकार, गायक, वादक किंवा कोणत्याही क्षेत्रात कलाकार असाल, तर एआय टूल्स वापरून तुम्ही तुमची सर्जनशीलता विकसित करू शकता.

सर्जनशीलता ही बऱ्याच प्रमाणात दैवी देणगी असून, कल्पनाशक्तीला प्रज्वलित करणारी एक ठिणगी आहे. अनुवांशिकता आणि पर्यावरण एकत्रितपणे एखाद्या व्यक्तीच्या सर्जनशील क्षमतेला आकार देण्यासाठी महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका बजावतात. आनुवंशिकता विशिष्ट गुणधर्म आणि क्षमतांचा पाया प्रदान करते, तर वातावरण त्यांचे पालनपोषण आणि विकास करते.

सर्जनशीलता केवळ मानसिक स्वास्थ्यच नाही तर संपूर्ण आरोग्यासाठी देखील उपयुक्त ठरते. सर्जनशील व्यक्तीकडून नैसर्गिकरित्या सकारात्मक ऊर्जेचे प्रसारण होत असते. सर्जनशील क्षमतांचा वापर केल्याने अपार आनंद आणि समाधान मिळते. हा स्वत:ची अभिव्यक्ती प्रगट करण्याचा आणि समस्या सोडवण्याचा सुंदर प्रवास आहे. सर्जनशीलता आपल्याला नवीन दृष्टीकोनातून आव्हानांना सामोरे जाण्यास मदत करते,ज्यामुळे नाविन्यपूर्ण उपाय शोधणे सोपे होते.

सामाजिक व राजकीय क्षेत्रात काम करणारे माझे वडील म्हणायचे की लोक जेव्हा त्यांच्या समस्या घेऊन आपल्याकडे येतात, तेव्हा आपण ही संधी दिल्याबद्दल त्यांचे आभार मानले पाहिजेत; कारण समस्या सोडवतांनाच्या प्रक्रियेतून आपल्याला अनेक गोष्टी शिकायला मिळतात. 

लहान मुलांकडे त्यांच्या सभोवतालचे जग निरागस दृष्टीने आणि अमर्याद कल्पनेने पाहण्याची एक अद्भुत शक्ती असते. त्यांची उत्सुकता, खेळकरपणा आणि मोकळेपणा आपल्याला सर्जनशीलता आणि शोधाचा आनंद याबद्दल बरेच काही शिकवतो.

कधीकधी माझी नात, छोटी मधुरा माझ्यासोबत खरेदी करिता सूपर शॉप आणि भाजी मंडईत येते. मी तिला वेगवेगळ्या कामात मला मदत करण्यासाठी प्रोत्साहित करतो. तिच्या कृती व प्रतिसादांचे निरीक्षण करणे ही तिची जिज्ञासा आणि सर्जनशीलता वाढवण्याचा एक चांगला मार्ग आहे. अगदी लहान सहान क्रियाकलापांमध्ये छोटी मुले नवीन दृष्टीकोन आणि आनंद कसा निर्माण करतात हे पाहून खरोखरच आश्चर्य वाटते.

अनेक ऑटोमोबाईल कंपन्या आपल्या कारचे मॉडेल डिझाइन करण्यासाठी लहान मुलांची मदत घेतात. उदाहरणार्थ, टोयोटाकडे ‘टोयोटा ड्रीम कार आर्ट कॉन्टेस्ट’ नावाचा एक कार्यक्रम आहे, जिथे जगभरातील मुले त्यांची कल्पनारम्य कार डिझाइन सादर करतात. या मधून अनेकदा भविष्यातील कार मॉडेल्ससाठी नवीन संकल्पना उदयास येतात. त्याचप्रमाणे, BMW मध्ये मुलांकरिता एक वस्तू संग्रह आहे ,जो मुलांना खेळता खेळता त्यांच्या सर्जनशीलतेला प्रोत्साहित करून कार डिज़ाइनला उपयुक्त ठरतो.

‘उद्योजकता विकास कार्यक्रमातील’ सर्जनशीलता (Creativity) या विषयावरील माझ्या सत्रात मी त्यात सहभाग घेतलेल्यांकडून अनेक प्रकारची प्रात्यक्षिके करून घेत असे. माझ्या अशा एका सत्रात, टूथब्रश डिझाइन करण्याच्या २०० हून अधिक संकल्पनांची निर्मिती झाली…परिणामकारक ब्रशिंग करिता ऑटोमॅटिक अथवा डिजिटल ब्रश, दंत आरोग्य दर्शविणारा कॉम्प्युटराइज्ड ब्रश, हवी तेव्हडी पेस्ट बाहेर आणणारा कॉम्बो ब्रश, मूड नुसार गाणी म्हणणारा म्यूज़िकल ब्रश, विविध प्रसंगांकरिता ब्रश, ऑर्गेनिक ब्रश, अलुविरा, केळी, बटाटे, दुधातील प्रोटीन्स अशा वेगवेगळ्या पदार्थां पासून बनविण्यात येणारे तंतुमय ब्रश, लहान मुलांकरिता, तरुण तरुणीं करिता, नोकरी करणाऱ्या, न करणाऱ्यांकरिता ब्रश, ज्येष्ठांकरिता किंवा निवृत्त लोकांकरिता इकोनॉमिकल ब्रश या त्यातील काही संकल्पना! मी माझ्या विद्यार्थ्यांना ‘आउट ऑफ बॉक्स थिंकिंग’ करण्या करिता आणि अत्यंत  वेडेपणाच्या वाटल्या तरी तशा कल्पना करण्या करिता नेहमी प्रोत्साहन दिले. मी सुद्धा अनेकदा अशा वेडेपणाच्या कल्पना मांडल्या. मी त्यांना सांगायचो की आजची सर्वात मूर्ख वाटणारी कल्पना उद्या मूर्त स्वरूप धारण करून एखाद्या भव्य प्रकल्पाच्या रुपात तुमच्या समोर प्रगट होऊ शकते.

सर्जनशीलता मनाची विशिष्ट अवस्था असून ती निर्मितीस सहाय्यभूत ठरते. सर्जनशीलता समृद्ध करायची असेल, तर गोष्टी वेगळ्या पद्धतीने करणे आवश्यक असते. चाकोरीबद्ध मार्गावरून चलतांनाची सुरक्षितता त्यात नसते, परंतु त्यातून मिळणारा आनंद मात्र अद्वितीय असतो. निसर्ग निरीक्षण व प्रार्थना सर्जनशीलता विकसित करण्यास मदत करतात. निसर्ग निरीक्षणावरून लक्षात येते की हे सर्व विश्व सर्जनशीलतेने व्यापलेले आहे, तर प्रार्थनेने आपण वैश्विक शक्तीशी तादात्म्य पावतो.

‘कंफर्ट झोन’ मधून बाहेर पडणे, करायला आवडत नसलेल्या एक किंवा दोन गोष्टी रोज करणे, आठवड्यातून एकदा मोठे काम करण्यासाठी स्वतःला आव्हान देणे या सर्जनशीलतेच्या वाटेवरून चालण्या करिता पहिले पाऊल ठरू शकतात.

टंचाई हे सर्जनशीलतेसाठी वरदान आहे. साधनांची टंचाई आपल्याला बऱ्याचदा चाकोरीबद्ध विचार करण्याच्या पद्धतीतून बाहेर पडण्यास आणि नाविन्यपूर्ण उपाय शोधण्यास भाग पाडते.

मी छोट्या मधुराला मॉल्स, सार्वजनिक ठिकाणे, खेळाचे मैदान, निसर्गरम्य ठिकाणी घेऊन जातो आणि वेगवेगळ्या प्रसंगी तिच्यासोबत रील तयार करतो. रील तयार करणे आणि त्याकरिता परिपूर्ण संगीत निवडणे हा सर्जनशीलता व्यक्त करण्याचा एक अद्भुत मार्ग आहे. भावना जागृत करण्यासाठी, दृश्ये आणि ध्वनी यांचे आकर्षक मिश्रण करून एक छोटी कथा तयार करण्यासारखे ते आहे. फोटो किंवा व्हिडिओसह संगीताची लय जुळवून सर्जनशील स्पर्शाने त्यांचे संपादन करण्याची प्रक्रिया खरोखरच आनंदायी आहे. हे कलेचे आधुनिक रूप आहे जे मला माझा वैशिष्टपुर्ण दृष्टीकोन जगासोबत सामायिक करण्यास मदत करते.

लेखन हा सर्जनशीलता विकसित करण्याचा एक चांगला मार्ग आहे. मला ब्लॉग लिहतांना खूप आनंद मिळतो. माझ्या Lenovo लॅपटॉप आणि iPhone वरील श्रुतलेखन साधने (Dictation Tools) वापरल्याने मला माझ्या कल्पना त्वरीत शब्दबद्ध करण्यास आणि त्याद्वारे सुचवलेल्या सुधारणांच्या मदतीने त्या परिष्कृत करण्यास मदत मिळते. योग्य तो शब्द शोधण्याची किंवा निवडण्याची आणि माझे विचार स्पष्टपणे व्यक्त करण्याची प्रक्रिया खूप आनंददायी आहे. आपल्या सारख्या सहृदयींसोबत हे शेअर करून आनंद द्विगुणीत करावा म्हणून मी हा ब्लॉग लिहिला आहे.

Why do I write a blog?

If health, happiness and longevity is your goal, then creativity will help you a lot in achieving that goal. Many writers across the world, from Pradip Khandwalla to Osho Rajneesh have written books on creativity. Tonnes of literature is available on creativity on net. Now artificial intelligence tools are also available to improve your creativity. If you are painter, writer, photographer, or any artist, using AI tools, you can enhance your creativity.

Creativity does seem like a divine gift, a spark that sets imagination alight. Genetic and environment together play a significant role in shaping a person‘s creative potential. Genetics provides a foundation of certain traits and abilities while the environment nurtures and develops them.

Creativity not only enhances mental well-being, but also contributes to overall health. Creative person naturally radiants positive energy. Tapping into creative potential brings immense joy and fulfilment . It’s a beautiful journey of self expression and problems solving. creativity allows you to approach challenges with a fresh perspective, making it easier to find innovative solutions.

My father, who was a social worker , used to say that when people come to us with their problems, we should be thankful to them for giving us an opportunity to solve their problems as we learn many more things while solving their problems . 

Children have a wonderful way of seeing the world around them with fresh eyes and boundless imagination. Their curiosity, playfulness and openness teach us a lot about creativity and joy of discovery.

Sometimes, my grand daughter, little Madhura accompanies me in grocery shop and vegetable market. I encourage her to assist me in different tasks . Observing her responses is a wonderful way to nurture her curiosity and creativity. It is amazing to see how children can bring a fresh perspective and joy to even simplest of activities.

Many automobile companies do seek input from children for designing car models. For instance, Toyota has a programme called the Toyota dream car Art contest where children from around the world submit their imaginative car designs. These entries often inspire new ideas and concepts for future car models. similarly, BMW has a kids collection that encourages children to explore their creativity to play and design.

In my session on Creativity in Entrepreneurship Development Program, I used to give various tasks to the participants. In one of my sessions, more than 200 ideas of designing tooth brush were generated... automatic or digital brush for efficient brushing, computerised brush displaying health condition of teeth, brush for total oral hygiene solution, combo brush ejecting required amount of paste for brushing, musical brush singinging songs as per your mood ,organic brush, brushes made from materials like aloe vera, banana,potato, brushes for different occasions and age groups, economical brush for retired persons are some of the creative ideas! I always encouraged my students for out of box thinking and do wild guessing. I used to tell them that the most foolish idea of today may prove the greatest idea of tomorrow.

If you want to enhance your creativity, do the things in a different way. Come out of comfort zone. Do at least one or two things which you do not like to do, every day. For example, waking up early in the morning, doing exercise, organising house hold items… challenge yourself once a week to bigger task.

Scarcity is a boon for creativity. Scarcity often forces us to think out of box and find innovative solutions.

I take Madhura to malls, public places, playground, scenic places, and create reels with her on different occasions. Creating reels and selecting the perfect music for them is a wonderful way to express creativity. It is like crafting a mini story that blend visuals and sound to evoke emotions and tell a compelling narrative. The process of editing ,matching the rhythm of the music with the photos or videos and adding creative touches is really fulfilling. It is modern form of art that allows me to share my unique perspective with the world.

Writing is one of the ways to channel creativity. I enjoy writing the blog. Dictation tools on my Lenovo laptop and iPhone allow me to capture my ideas quickly and refine them with the help of suggested improvements. The process of finding just the right word and expressing my thoughts clearly is deeply satisfying. That’s why I have written this blog.
