Author’s Reflection
On this day, I signed a publishing agreement with Mr. Kevin — an internationally renowned author. He is the CEO of NuVoice, an imprint of Hubhwaks, which has established a strategic distribution partnership with Penguin.
My first encounter with his work was in 2017, when I saw his book Kalki in the hands of my son, who had returned home from the United States. That moment stirred within me a quiet dream: that one day, my own book too would find its place among bestsellers.
Yet as I nurtured this dream, another thought began to take shape. What if my book does not become a best seller? Could it instead become a best read or a best transformative?
By best read, I mean a book that reaches many readers, offering meaning and resonance in their lives.
By best transformative, I envision a work that, even if read by only a few, changes the lives of some in profound ways.
Even if only a few readers dream to walk in the footsteps of visionaries — to be like Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein, Homi Bhabha, Vikram Sarabhai, or Kalpana Chawla — the purpose of this book would be served.
And if some readers aspire to enter institutions such as Harvard, Stanford, HBS, MIT or IIT-B, and in doing so begin to engineer their own dreams, then the vision behind Engineering Dreams, Inspiring Souls finds its fulfillment.
For me, the phrase “Every Dream Comes True!” does not imply that dreams manifest exactly as we imagine them. Rather, they unfold in unexpected forms — sometimes different, sometimes better. I believe this principle will hold true for my book as well.
And Who Knows? It may yet become a best seller, a best read, and a best transformative all at once.
This book, Engineering Dreams, Inspiring Souls, is born of that conviction. It is my offering to readers who, like me, believe that dreams are not merely destinations but journeys that transform us along the way.
