The Writer Secondary, The Cause Primary
“Try not to
become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.” – Albert
Einstein
Value-Based
Leadership is opening doors
of connection across the world. Its title has reached people from Changadev,
the village I came from, to Seattle, USA, where my son works. I am
humbled by these responses. Senior executives, heads of organizations, and
thoughtful readers have spoken with me directly, offering valuable suggestions
to expand its reach.
One senior executive, a U.S. citizen, even shared his intention to place a copy of the book in a library in New Jersey. Once his review is received, I will share it with you. Already, several reviews have appeared on digital platforms, affirming that many are walking this path.
Their encouragement energises me. I
feel deep joy when I see it resonate with young minds like Rohit and Pratik.
“Value-Based Leadership
is a refreshing antidote to conventional management styles. It provides a clear
roadmap for building a culture of trust and accountability, proving that
ethical leadership is actually a competitive advantage for long-term success.” – Rohit
“Dr. Mahendra Ingale’s
Value-Based Leadership is a refreshing departure from standard management
books. I was struck by how he weaves deep engineering expertise with a soulful,
almost poetic philosophy on how we should treat one another in professional
spaces. The book challenges you to take off the ‘corporate mask’ and lead with
your true self. It’s a must-read for everyone who feels modern leadership has
lost its human touch. Dr. Ingale reminds us that while we may engineer dreams,
it is our values that inspire the souls of those we lead.” – Pratik
Today, Dr. Chandreshwar—former Senior Executive at Tata Motors, a distinguished figure in Training and Development, and Visiting Professor at XLRI Jamshedpur—said to me: “Talking with you, I get a feeling of divine connection.” Hearing these words filled me with gratitude. Such moments remind me that this journey is not about personalrecognition, but about advancing the cause of value-based leadership.
As I have often written, treat me as secondary—the subject itself is primary. The process of developing this book was one chapter; now, watching how it finds its way into the hands and hearts of people committed to this cause is another. I enjoy witnessing this journey unfold, just as I have envisioned. It is a collective movement, a shared aspiration, and I am grateful to be part of it.
Leadership rooted in values becomes a shared legacy, and when values lead, leadership itself becomes timeless.
